Chaldicott Farm
Chaldicott Barns is a family run business offering high quality rural office and warehouse units for lease.

The site is run by the James family, who have lived in the village for over 60 years.

In 1947 the James family settled in Semley, Wiltshire and started a very successful family dairy farm called Chaldicott Farm.

Over time farming duties passed to the younger generation and output grew. In 1987 Chaldicott Farm reached its peak and milked over 150 cattle.

Although we kept up with technology and always ensured quality was our top priority, market forces made dairy farming very difficult. With the industry’s decline only gaining momentum; just over 10 years ago we took the difficult decision to close Chaldicott Farm and diversify.

In 2003 the cowsheds, milking parlour, stables, hay barn and tractor sheds were converted into offices and warehouses. We went to great lengths to preserve as many original features as we could to create a unique and inspiring working environment.

We have created a stunning rural business centre where people can enjoy the beautiful countryside and idyllic location without compromising on any of the specifications one would expect from a top-end office or warehouse. In 2007 we won South West Rural Conversion of the Year from the CLA (Country Landowners Association) and in 2008 we were awarded a certificate of commendation for outstanding work to existing buildings by Salisbury Civic Society Conservation Awards Scheme.

Since opening Chaldicott Barns in 2005 we've never looked back and enjoy welcoming friends, visitors and colleagues every day. For over 60 years our family has loved living in Semley and we hope that you will enjoy working here too.

If you are interested in leasing one of our beautiful offices or need space in one of our modern warehouses then please don't hesitate to contact us.
